We believe that, at a global level, the Ocean Centres initiative will strengthen food security, port efficiency, clean energy development, and biodiversity protection. As hubs for sustainable ocean stewardship, they will drive long-term economic and environmental benefits through collaboration, innovation, and investment.
Accelerators
The United Nations Global Compact is leading Accelerators to embed SDG-aligned practices deep into business operations and across the value chain to accelerate progress and impact for the 2030 Agenda. The Accelerators are run and designed with a view to generating behavior change across a large number of companies at the local level - achieving maximum impact and scale.
Forward Faster
The Forward Faster initiative aims to increase accountability and transparency by calling for companies to publicly declare their commitments and highlight the actions they will undertake to meet the targets. Companies committing to the targets will be required to report on progress annually to the UN Global Compact.
Anti-Corruption Collective Actions
Collective Action enables corruption to be fought by various interest groups working together and building an alliance so that the problem can be approached and resolved from multiple angles. The ultimate aim of these joint efforts is to create fair and equal market conditions – a level playing field – for all market players and to eliminate the temptations of corruption for all of them.
