The Pitch Showcase brought together young professionals from across the globe — representing 15 countries — to present innovative business solutions that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Designed as a platform for intrapreneurs, professionals driving change within their organizations, the event highlighted how business innovation can accelerate progress toward a more sustainable and inclusive global economy.
SGA’s achievement underscores Indonesia’s growing role in sustainability-driven innovation. The team’s solution — “Green Carbon Black: Rewind – Recycling Waste into Decarbonization” — was recognized for its creativity, scalability, and potential to deliver meaningful impact across industries.

The project introduces a bio-pyrolysis technology that recycles oil palm biomass by-products (Empty Fruit Bunch/EFB) and plastic waste into bio-oil, which serves as a sustainable substitute for fossil oil in the production of Green Carbon Black. Widely used in the automotive, tire, and ink industries, Green Carbon Black derived from this process creates higher added value for waste materials while contributing to decarbonization efforts. This innovation directly reflects the core objectives of the UN Global Compact’s SDG Innovation Program by transforming waste into scalable climate solutions.

The SDG Innovation Program equips young professionals with tools and methodologies to develop breakthrough solutions that align with corporate priorities while addressing pressing social and environmental challenges. Through this program, participants gain the opportunity to co-create innovative approaches that strengthen business resilience and contribute to sustainable development.
SGA’s success at the Leaders Summit 2025 highlights Indonesia’s commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders and innovators who can advance the global sustainability agenda.
