Asia Pacific Anti-Corruption Collective Action Forum in Manila, Philippines

On September 25th, 2023, Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) attended the Asia Pacific Anti-Corruption Collective Action Forum in Fairmont Hotel Makati, Manila, Philippines.The Forum was hosted by Basel Institute on Governance in partnership with the Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific (ACI), a joint initiative of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

This Forum successfully gathered a diverse range of participants representing the private sector, public sector, civil society, and academia, all united by a shared commitment to fighting corruption through collective action. Several interactive panel discussions brought together thought leaders to deep-dive into crucial cross-cutting themes related to collective action against corruption. These discussions not only showcased tried and tested regional initiatives but also introduced innovative approaches, enriching the knowledge base of attendees. Breakout sessions were also provided as a platform for participants to explore regional anti-corruption tools and opportunities, fostering practical solutions and collaborations. Moreover, the event's emphasis on networking breaks allowed participants to connect, exchange ideas, and establish valuable relationships that are essential for the ongoing efforts to strengthen business integrity and combat corruption.
Other than Indonesia, this forum were also attended by two other Global Compact LN representatives: Bangladesh and Malaysia-Brunei.
